RADIOSCAPES
Radioscapes is a radio program that was created by three university students who are part of
Malaspina Radio CHLY 101.7. to promote and encourage democratic development and human rights.
The objective of this six-part series was to present a program on Human Rights and Culture. Through researching and interviews we found a common thread that solidarity locally and internationally is what makes it possible for indigenous communities and defenders of human rights to persevere and be able to move forward.
The Interviews
Marino Fiscue - Indigenous leader in Colombia who is part of the ACIN ( Association of Cabildos Indigenous from North Cauca ). Among his accomplishments is his work in the formulation and elaboration of development plans for several municipalities in the region. His discussion focused on the peace communities in Columbia and how they are gaining control of their land without force.

Marta de la Vaga - Guatemalan Human Rights Advisor and founder of the Latin American Task force. She shares her story of being forced to flee Guatemala and what society in general can do to help the people of Guatemala .
